Noah is a regular attendee of the Foundry Terrace youth center, and is known as the unofficial welcoming committee. He found the center in the spring of 2020, seeking a safe place to make friends and feel welcome.
Noah continues to participate and even lead youth groups. He’s watched other youths grow and come out of their shells.
Noah and other young people have highlighted the need for a bigger space due to the center’s growing popularity. Terrace & District Community Services Society (TDCSS) is currently fundraising to build a new space next door to the current space. The new centre will be much larger, centrally located, with increased resources and capacity. The goal is to accommodate any youth who walks in the door. Community members can visit the interim site to understand the program’s current successes and future needs and find out more about the new build.
